Also lessons learned fellow QTers (and others that rely on a battery as your voltage regulator) DONT TRY TO REVIVE DEAD BATTERIES! Even if they hold a charge (from 3v charged to 6v who knows how old) the old battery didn't work well with the inrush voltage and still blew lights.
This OEM Battery just works regardless of the date code stamped on it for us QTers! Just grab some acid from your local auto store and be sure to charge it (should be around 6.35V) I used a 1A charger and works great!!!
