for honda express NC50 and NA50 express II
**ATTENTION!!! There are multiple types of crankshafts found on NC50 and NA50. because of this, we cannot guarantee that this CDI will fit every year and configuration of NC50 and NA50. NC50 should be smooth sailing for the most part, but ya never know with express.
NA50 express II fitment is a little bit tighter. the center hole in the adapter plate will fit kind of tight around the case. you may need to lightly sand or grind the plate and/or case to get additional clearance so that the plate sits totally flush and even with the case. lastly, be sure to check that the stator does not rub on the ID of the flywheel before you run the engine. there is enough play in the stator plate mounting bracket that you can correct this and properly center the stator so that it does not have any rubbing issues with the flywheel!!
***NOTE, you will be converting your bike from 6v to 12v with this
ignition! this means the all of the bulbs, battery, original voltage
regulator/rectifier will no longer work. you will need to have a decent
understanding of moped electrical systems in order to successfully get
your lighting and charging system back in order. do NOT mount the
regulator/rectifier under the seat next to the fuel tank. lastly, do NOT
try and run this as a DC output WITHOUT a battery!! you will fry the
reg/rec unit and possibly more stuff.
ALSO if you a pro hacker type guru, you can use this on NU50 urban express. relatively simple actually, you'll need to drill and tap the case half so that the adapter plate can mount. no more weird inverted ignition!!
note this CDI does not use a woodruff key! you will need an ignition micrometer or other accurate piston depth measuring method to properly install and time it. flywheel features dual timing marks for clockwise and counterclockwise rotations.
uses a 24 x 1.00mm flywheel puller!!
wiring: red goes to CDI box blue goes to ground yellow goes to regulator/lights white goes to accessory (see instructions!!)
you will need a 12v voltage regulator to keep your lighting system happy. if you want to stick with an AC system, something like the trail tech dial-a-brightness is a great option. if you are planning on running DC grab a wicked reglator rectifier here!!! the cool thing about the wicked regulator rectifier is that you can run it as a DC half wave rectifier or as an AC regulator!! amazing!

universal CDI box mounting brackets available!!! please do NOT mount the CDI box under the seat, next to the fuel tank.
does not come with a spark plug boot!!
