so alright, here me out. this shoe is sick, but literally only for STOCK applications. The green stock a35/a55 spring fits perefectly with no dremeling needed. it is because those springs are only 5mm in diameter, where as any other aftermarket springs are like 6mm plus.
with the right tools (I use the clutch assembly tool that i got from treats in a bench vice and a flat blade screwdriver), you have rebuilt a stock clutch in just minutes.
again, cool and badass but only for stock spring applications.

They simply don't fit as they come.
you need to cut material off the OUTER most part of the spring groove. This is the wavy wall, the one the spring doesn't touch. The inside wall needs to be nice and smooth for low-friction spring/metal piece movement. The spring groove is around 0.235" (5.9mm) and it needs to be at least 0.285 (7mm)
The hub flange groove is 0.179 wide (4.5mm), and needs to be a hair over .200 (5.0mm).
It's made of cast aluminum that jams up your dremel bits. It took be a couple hours to make it fit correctly.
If there is any possible way you can order the other ones, https://www.treatland.tv/original-OEM-tomos-A35-A55-1st-gear-clutch-segment-p/oem-1st-gear-segment-223432.htm, you should order them.
be warned!

Stronger material then stock cork

The friction material on these is much stronger then the stock cork so it probably won't need to be replaced the only inconvenience was the grove where the spring goes had to be slightly shaved off with dremel tool to actually fit the spring but once that was done, it fit in there just fine.

So not only is the spring groove too narrow, but so is the side groove that fits over the plate. Have a couple of dremel bits handy.

liner seems nice.. spring channel too narrow

The liner material is definitely a stiffer friction material than the stock cork pads, so hopefully they will last a little longer. However on the 3 shoes that I got, the channel for the clutch spring and retainer clips is too narrow, by about a mm, so the first gear clutch spring will not seat in the channel fully. Gonna have to dremel a bit wider
