I was just cruisin and perusin' before choosin and i noticed this get up has a piss poor rating.
what.
serious blasters know this kit is the absolute business if setup right, even setup wrong it rips pretty hard. the cylinder spacing is wack, you gotta fix that, space it with gaskets and a countersunk head. The exhaust port doesn't leave much room so make sure your pipe fits snug. The reeds are metal and they will break, but you should put big boi VL6 reeds in this anyhow and make your own intake.
I dunno if it really gets 5 stars but 2.5 is pathetic for one of the blastin'est puch kits out there period bar none.

Hello from Slovenia!
I use this Athena Kit on my Tomos - A55 engine - with manual transmission.
One piston ring had some air, so I had to replace the piston. It worked OK, but anyway i replaced it with a piston that has 1 Ring.
The Head of cylinder is OK, but around the sparkplug I have like - liiking of oil from the combustion chamber. The head was new and a new NGK sparkplug, B9HS, B10HS... it's the same. Don't know maybe the bolt hole isn't ok. I always put sparkplugs carefully in and out.
I had to make my own INTAKE, because my Tomos has no room for the stock INTAKE. I have a original Dellorto 21 on it, it runs OK, but have some problem at full throttle - I use a original Dellorto aluminium trumpet.

kit blasted 55+ mph until on two different pistons the ring snagged on the same port even after chamfering. low end isnt anythign special, but revvs highhhhhh. the intake is super cheap aluminum and doesnt seal well and the corners tend to snap off. make ur own!
