Hit your bike with a timing light before ordering a new pickup. If the light cuts out up top or is sporadic, you may need a new pickup.
FWIW, these coils are the same size and spec as the motobecane coils. I rebuilt my stator with the moby coils because of the problems with these.

yeah like the other review states, I had a lean condition symptom that was driving me crazy. Just short of doing a full rebuild and replacing seals, I came upon that reviews and decided to try replacing the pickup. Lo and behold, it worked and now everything is blastin.

i was workin on with a friend on diagnosing a bizarre problem that seemed like lean bog once the engine hit a certain rpm. seems like the lil pick up can get cooked over time and get what i call the cdi version of point float.
if you're bike seems like it's running fine through low revs and it has no leaks and known good jetting but still bogs up top this may be the solution!
