If you never take this off, you should be fine. I took it off my bike for fresh powder coat and the threaded end snapped off when I tried to put it back on.

High quality cock!

This cock is one great quality piece! Sometimes with lever cocks the lever will hit the frame of a mobylette and won't let you open/close the fuel flow, this eliminates the problem... but keep in mind if you use side covers you'll have to trim them about a quarter to a half of an inch around the petcock hole to have easier access to shut the fuel flow off while the bike is running.

Fit my Motron Medalist perfectly. The knob is just the right size. Just don't think you have a reserve of fuel, you will be disappointed and pushing!

perfect for toptank AV88's

although step-through AV88/89's take an 8mm threaded petcock, the Speciale 50 / 99Z tank (there are other rare models with this tank, too - if you got one, you'll know) takes a 10mm thread cock. this is the one i put on my SP-50, and it's awesome. much shorter inlet tube than the stock one, so you'll be able to use more of that gas at the bottom of your tank. also, no 90deg bends in this one (the stock one has 3), so less cloggy stupidity all around. plus, it's all metal on the outside (durable!) and so small it's almost invisible under your tank. score!
