Nice intake tube. Perfect fit on my fa. Use with the 1.5mm shim and a vm18. You can stroke the reed bloc to 18mm to !

Port match it to the reed block!

Spent my Friday the 13th port matching this bad boy to the tiny stock Reed Block(hogged that sucker out big time with my Dremel). How else do you get the flow you paid for and expect from this mod!?! I also used a new intake gasket. It's now one smooth intake tract right into the crankcase :)
I'm running this with the VM18 Mikuni(duh!), Boyesen Dual Stage Power Reeds(bent the reed stop open another 1/8" inch), and the MLM Side Bleed Pipe. I kept the stock Fuel Petcock selector. It's hooked up to the vacuum line. Not sure what Dangerous Daz is talking about(check your vacuum lines bro!). Mine works fine, no bogging here.
I can do 35mph or 37/38mph tucked! Brraaap! FA50 VM18 Setting running stock Oil Injection: #65 Main Jet #15 Pilot 2nd leanest clip on the needle.

Perfect fit but not enough vacuum

"Dangerous Daz" saved my a$$. My FA50 would constantly bog at full throttle and even die when kept at a constant throttle for long periods of time. I spent countless hours looking into what this was and what caused it. He was correct, there was not enough vacuum! I bypassed the stock vacuum operated petcock completely, installed a $5 inline gas valve from the lawn mower section at the major auto parts store to the reserve fuel line and ran it directly into the carb. I plugged up all of the now not used ports and lines. The scooter runs GREAT now and never vapor locks anymore. Thanks Dangerous Daz!!!

Fitment is excellent, carb position is spot on making it very easy to tune the VM18 mikuni, and it looks damn cool hanging out in the breeze.
One issue with this is although it has a fitting for the vacuum / prime line, the big VM18 and free flowing filter I know you are going to fit, doesn't allow the intake to generate enough vacuum to operate the stock vacuum operated petcock, don't stress though, just plug the vacuum port in the intake and route the prime line from the petcock into the carb, running the petcock on prime and off on either run or reserve until you get a new petcock, hey presto!!
