mikuni vm 18mm round slide clamp style carburetor, perhaps one of the most revered of all carbs for its flawless quality and performance.

clamp style carb so you will have to have an intake that works with this, or have a special one made...

since this is a clamp style you cannot over tighten the clamp otherwise you risk snapping the clamp, just snug it up is all you need!

comes with a fancy lever choke, cool idle screw that sticks out a bit for easy access and an air mixture setting.

screw top for easy access for needle and cable installation.

It is HIGHLY recommended you upgrade the shim these come with to one of these. They fit better and you end up with the same ID (23mm).

uses 32mm (PHBG) air filters except the ones that are screw type!

uses mikuni large hex jets and idle jets

uses phbg clamp style shims! this means you can use it on any clamp style phbg intake!

comes with a 70 main jet, 30 idle jet, needle #4F18, needle jet #145650-0, and slide cutaway #1.0

ID = 23mm (intake clamp)

OD = 32mm (air filter spigot)

1 of 5 I've bought 2 of them, both snapped. April 19, 2024

I've had a vm18 on my NU50 for a while, but I've had it with the clamp snapping. Both of mine snapped in the exact same spots on the flange and for seemingly no reason. Hell! I was easy on the second one, it was running loose enough to rotate if I rode for longer than 20 minutes. Both snapped while riding down a flat road with no bumps. Great carb if it didn't snap off every 600 or so miles.

The Puch Maxi i bought from a friend has this on it. Seems perfect for the 65cc Metrakit that was added to it. Probably upjetted so I recommend buying some new jets in case. Next time I take it apart I'll try to list the numbers so folks can know!

I got this carb to upgrade my motorized bicycle and this thing makes my powerband hit so hard way harder than my stock carb definitely recommend for a 66/80cc motorized bicycle motor

4 of 5 Good Carb, Figuring it out June 29, 2020

Installed the carb with the MLM intake for AV7 moby.
I had to remove the VM18 rubber gasket at the intake, for the shim to fit. Now it holds on and doesn't fall off.
I'm having issues with the carb overflowing at high RPM, will report back if I find a solution.

Best customer service in the world! Broke the clamp on my VM18, asked if it was under warrantee. They shipped me a new carb body and didn't even charge me shipping! Not expected at all. No hassle, no asking questions, just replaced it and shipped it out right away. If I need parts, I'm looking here FIRST! Thank-you Treatland, you're the best!
