I don't have one of these for the SHA, but I have clear float bowls for other carbs.
DON'T RUN IT AS YOU WOULD A NORMAL FLOAT BOWL!
It's a tool.
Would you fault a screwdriver because it didn't magically stick to your idle screw as your rode? No. Because that's not how you are supposed to use a screw driver.
Put this on. Open your petcock. Observe your float level. Adjust float level as needed. Take it back off and clean it and throw it in your tool box and put your stock float bowl back on the carb.
Why the heck you wanna see your fuel in your carb as you ride? Pointless.
But if you are one of those people whose first step at rehabbing any moped is sticking an SHA on it, then this is a TOOL that you will get a lot of use out of and should provide you with years of it's intended service - cuz it ain't gonna get hot in your tool box.
I just can't even imagine why you'd want to run it long term...

Same as the other two. It just melted. Must have used the wrong type of plastic to make it. Very disappointed. Don't waste your money like we did.

sooooo sad, thought i could avoid the melt because i'm running a stock setup, but alas, the bowl warped and melted on my V1. caused carb overflow and leakage, gas would pour out when i choked it. perhaps with a fancy intake that holds your carb not directly over your engine it would be not so melty? the inside, though, reacts with gas or something, and it became squishy and melty and swells up...the plastic circle on the inside bottom grew up into a gigantic lump of goo...usually it just goes around your jet like a cool little pattern, but this scary monster looks like a giant piece of bubble gum. bummertown. so sad.

Bought this and installed it on an e50 with a Dellorto 15.15 carb... Moped suddenly shut off while I was riding a few days ago. I spent a few hours trying to resolve the issue-cleaning the carb etc. NEVER did I think that the bowl would MELT-that's right the inside is now rubbery and cause my carb to no longer work! Really sucks that I spent $15 and it's useless.
