malossi race gears for honda NU50 urban express and honda px.

!these gears will not work on a honda hobbit moped!

please note for some nu50 bikes the gears will have to be welded, check the reviews below for more info! on others they are simple press on though...so you won't know till you start the battle.

the people of treatland give thanks to thee forward thinking wrecking crew for this discovery

gear sizes are 13/35

5 of 5 Great gears, fit my 1982 urban just fine! June 25, 2024

I should've used a press, but I just used a ball peen hammer's flat side. whacked the old gear off, whacked the new one on. Installed the gears and took off, slowly. Take off is way worse than I thought it would be, but fear not! It is still a good mod. I'm using a sh50 malossi belt and it boosted my top speed from mid 40's to atleast 55, if not more. It changed my gearing so my bike cruises at 35 instead of 32, and keeps shifting until 40. I'd recommend, but buy some stiffer clutch springs along with this or your bottom end will suffer.

5 of 5 Gears of War July 12, 2020
taco eater : Michael Mills from Worcester, MA United States
I was hesitant but Loss of low end is not so drastic on a kitted NU50. Pressed on nice and tight. Youre gonna want to make a new gearbox gasket. The thickness is critical to shiming of the gearbox. I used regular old 1/32 Karropak gasket paper. DR kit and vm20 mlm pipe and intake. 21 grams. Still does wheelies. Still revs super high. Not sure on top speed yet breaking in.

I haven't bought this yet but will it go on a 78 Honda express Nc50 with the sealed gearbox?

5 of 5 racing parts February 3, 2016
taco eater : Brandon from mass
race gears are quick to do with lots of gain.

pipe wrench and large socket is all ya need to take off the countershaft gear. the race gear slips right on... no welding required. low end is lost but depends on other mods ya got.

5 of 5 speed demond March 8, 2013
taco eater : joe muncey from calverton, NY United States
pressed out the old gear, and pressed on the new one, fits correctly no welding required !  rips to 45-50 now, scary fast. dose cause a little loss of bottom end torque. make sure to re-tune variator to around 24 grams to regain acceleration.
