So I would have bought this last year, but I didn't know it came with an intake. There are no pictures of it.
It comes with an intake. But I bought the Malossi intake cause I thought it didn't come with one. Oh well.
My case was already embiggened for polini 70. I opened up the transfers like crazy on the kit to match the honkin Polini holes. Like 75% more area. not a lot of sealing surface, but no leaks.
Rips. Fucking. Dicks. Bro.
51mph 11/32, malossi reed block, vm18, Hacked up Proma Grand Prix, BRN head.
SO much quicker than the polini. SO MUCH TORQUE.
Note: Malossi Reed block hits frame on an SSXL. I just ground down the one corner of the intake and bolt with a belt sander. Presto.
Update: Fits Garelli Basic with a swaped petcock. I'm using left flow.
it took me 3 days to get the cast iron shavings out of my eyes. use protection.

This is my first kit and first moped project. Took a lot of work to file the transfer ports to match the case. But fun. I used a 21mm PHBG clone. But that is a whole other story. Either way solid kit. I have seen cheaper quality ones on a tomos I helped on. This is good. Chamfer your ports you will be good to go. With some tinkering (fun) you can make this work perfectly.

Not without some crafty mods that is. Cylinder slides right on but intake, that's another story. You can figure it out though. Who the hell has a Garelli basic these days anyway? Not too common.
Aside from that the relocation of the stud holes is nice, but SUPER snug on the thick 7mm studs. But exhaust angle is perfect-o, which we can all appreciate.
Comes complete with malossi's standard issue way too long intake bolts and shotty SHA intake. But hey, you knew what you were getting into.
All in all, a good buy, and a much needed alternative to the cookie cutter polini noi build we have all grown to love and loathe.
