this little seal goes in the clamp area of the carburetor then the type II plastic shim goes in after that.

newly discovered, it was previously unknown that this thing even existed!

these are not sold separately by dellorto anymore so we rarely get them. the easy way to get them is in this complete gasket set!

for the bigger size SHA carburetors 14.12, 15.15, 16.16

So I had a trouble with a bing not sealing properly on my puch and I tossed one of these in the carb and now no more airleaks. Its not a perfect fit but it seems to have get the job done.

I got one of these to replace the original shim in my 16.16. It is not as long as the original, which I guess is why the description mentions that other seal. You can make it work alone by trimming down the lip on this shim and pushing it farther into the carb. It took me a couple of weeks to figure this out and cut off the lip to close up the massive air leak I had in the intake beforehand. Now I can idle!
