four of these on my TOMOS Sprint for 2 years. Cut holes with 1" hole saw, perfect fit. Unit is actually 15/16", but there are side tabs which require a 1' opening. Along with de-restricting the muffler (drilled through the 2 baffle plates with a 3/8" x 12" drill bit from the exhaust opening I needed to move up to a #62 main jet and do a little fine tuning of the idle jet and air/fuel ration setting.
