finally!! another variator option for hobbit!! 6 roller for more tunability, takes standard size weights available all over the place, and most importantly COMES with the ramp plate!

works great with stock size belts; with BX series belts you see the standard loss in acceleration but increase in top speed!

this second batch released 2/19/17 features a slight increase in variation, 4 gram weights instead of 10 gram weights and a new Permaglide bushing instead of the brass bushing. The ramp plate also fits better. wow, so cool!

***depending on how worn your clutch bell shaft is, you may need to lightly sand the bushing to get it to fit. the ramp plate may also need to be lightly filed to make the flat spots fit perfecto.***

uses 18 x 14 roller weights. comes with 4 gram weights for a perfecto place to start tuning for most. luckily, 16 x 13 dr pulley weights work perfectly with this and have been tested for reliable performance.

99mm OD
30mm ID on the NEW PERMAGLIDE bushing

another awesome product by TRICKmetric!

I had prototype the original which works very well. Apparently the production part has an aluminum plate versus the steel plate I had tested and evaluated. Since I have not utilized the new version I will withhold the original comments I have made on the original product version

doesn't push out enough even with the heaviest weights, needed more machining and it coulda been great, time to dremel.

well. i've spent almost a week trying to figure this thing out.the vario is a wonderful piece, don't get me wrong.it says use 16x13's but it calls for 18x14's. with the 16's (plain rollers) they jangled like christmas bells and got caught so bad i thought i bent my variator or destroyed the bushing.so then i tried 18's dr pulley sliders. well that was just horrible.with the enduro belt 15mm, the belt sits so high it is about half way up the bell.this makes takeoff dead.i have a two stroke not a four stroke. bog bog bog.ok, so then i tried 18x14 plain rollers. better but still no cigar.horrible off the line but not as bad with the 18 sliders.the ramp plate(along with the 18x14 rollers) is still forcing the vario too close to the bell, still no where near stock starting ratio. after playing with this thing for hours and hours.i think i will stick with the stock, and maybe notch it. if you're a super crazy tuner guy go for it.just dont expect magic out of the box like i did.

...but I was wondering if anyone might share the proper way to orient the DR sliders in the TRICK 6 itself. The instructions that come with the sliders are, to me at least, somewhat ambiguous.
