Man after so many cheap cdi kits from that other store that last ‘bout a season, I thought (&was told by many an “expert”) that this was finally to way to go. So I cashed that yearly gov’mt ck & got it. Ya.
I’d admit it’s high quality stuff here but after many hrs lost trying to get some kinda life ‘outta it.? I gave up. & have gone scooter trash(at least it always runs). But after a few on that i think I make my own at this point &get back on the 17”s.

It’s perfect for any serious build. I added on the extra light coil just so I can run mine on the street! You probably can’t run regular bulbs if you do this though. LED cyborg tracker style only buds.

HPIs do cost a lot, but just completely make the bike! Why risk reliability and loose power when you can just ask your mom for an advance on your allowance and be rippin like a serious gui!!

That Mac lady from KY is an idiot. I have an HPI on my race moby, and on my race hobbit. It rips d*cks. I am forever in love with this CDI compared to the stock CDIs. Take your time to wire it correctly and ground it properly and youll be happy. Im not running lights right now (will be soon) but if you plan on it, just do your research to make sure to protect your investment. Compared to a stock CDI, it revs up a lot faster, and quite a bit more low end torque.(due to less weight and more advanced timing duhhh). It makes my bikes sound super nasty and intimidating. 10/10 would do again.

I've owned this for a few years now.
my first impulse when seeing this was
"wow expensive technology, must work awesome"
after using this religiously for some time now this is what I know---
setting timing is easy peasy.  that's the only plus.
there is no slot for a woodruff key.  maybe you could make one in the magnet, but I didn't want to risk damaging a $300 purchase.
timing will come undone in a matter of a few rides.
these are really not reliable at all.
built multiple hobbits, multiple times.
this is a waste of money if you want to put it on your hobbit--don't!
what's cool today is keep stock points or stock cdi, remove starter clutches on the variator side and get the pull start dealy-schmack.
don't try to be cool or experimental on your hobbit.  this is the worst investment I have made, but live and learn.  I bet treatland hates me after this.  not as much as I hate the hpi.  oh well.  ya been warned

edit treats : this review is one of our top ten reviews of 2015 !!!
