I really can't feel ANY performance gain with this pipe, but that dreaded A3 upshift is definitely improved. I can't make any rhyme or reason of it, but there it is. This is the first performance part on my stock 78 A3. I needed to bend the pedal crank out far enuff that I can feel the wobble when pedaling. It also has some throat to it so expect an increase in volume.

Couldn't bring myself to give 5, but also couldn't go as low as 4. This pipe friggin rips!!! Mounted it to my stock 99 A35 targa. I weigh around 220 and gained 10mph. Hits about 45 on downhill! Quick takeoff, slower acceleration at top end. Couldn't give 5 stars because I had to bang at the header with a hammer as well as grind away a ton of the weld in order to get one of the nuts on securely. Still not sure there isn't an airleak due to it.

i've run a few over the years and tomosi like'em better than puches. i'm about to hack one to a scrambler header. the chrome is fucking great. these pipes outlast the bikes they're on. why can't the tecno circuit be like that? i still like the churkits better, performance wise but you gotta have a mig welder if you want to run it for more than a month. the homoet is still the fastest, but these r like half the price. boss wins in sword fight against biturbo. probably close perf wise. good. yeah, good.

I bought this because I wanted a stock look for a very clean bike. widen the flange holes to fit the derbi studs and make a 1 inch bracket for the rear and you have a perfect fitting pipe. the stick comes of very easily. I wasn't happy with the performance on a derbi. bottom end was completely killed, but I got up to 37 on flats, just very slowly. I will try porting the cylinder and give an update after that.
Porting didnt work, went with an estoril instead. I will be putting this on my minarelli v1 with a Polini
Put it on my Polini V1, for flat lands this pipe is ok, got up to 40 with a 12mm carb and stock gearing. It has very little torque compared to a estoril. for $60 its decent, but i dont recommend it unless you want a kitted bike that feels similar to a stock bike.

So... its quieter than the biturbo... Has pretty good mid to top end. Nice and sturdy feel, I dont think the baffle is falling off this one, unlike the biturbo. Header is big in diameter, short in length, the expansion chamber is smaller them the biturbo but not by much. MINE DID NOT COME WITH A STICKER!!! And I really wanted it to..... As a side note mine also came in a jamarcol sealed bag... So im not sure I got the boss pipe since it seems to have some differences, maybe Benji can chime in?
Did I mention that it is quiet? Like im more then positive a car can not heare next to them...
