I have done the kits on our FZ and one of our FA's I'm about to do our other FA now. they are a great way to do a low cost top end and get a bit more power. up sizing the jet is a must! the FZ has a bigger carb but I also had to up size the main jet on that. we still have all the other parts stock on the scooters as they are used as pit bikes at race tracks and we can't go faster than 30 around the pits anyways. dealing with treat land is always great. easy ordering with fast shipping.

5 of 5 Use the factory head! August 1, 2023
taco eater : FA-50 from Michigan
Installed this kit with Treats 60cc "Touring" head, and it barely ran. Was about to toss the whole kit in the bad ideas box until Treats tech suggested popping the factory head back on. BAM! What a difference! Now it has that sweet, sweet power you all want and crave!

Jetted 90 and 17.5, needle one clip leaner, stock airbox.  With a stock pipe, it gained 5mph up top, and gets you there in half the time.

With the MLM Next Level pipe, it gives up a little off the line, but power picks up HARD around 10mph, and keeps pulling hard until she can rev no higher.  This combination sounds bitchin too, yet it isn't that much louder than the factory pipe.

Build quality is nice, easy 2-beer install, factory pipe drops right on but the MLM took a little work to line up. Probably makes even more power with a larger carb and airbox, but if you want to keep your Shuttle looking factory, it is still a huge improvement without them. Chamfer your ports!

1 of 5 maybe I got a lemon . . . February 8, 2023

I did find one other account of the piston not coming to end of cylinder at TDC on the inter web.  I'm putting this kit on for a friend.  Piston doesn't reach end of cylinder at TDC - almost 2mm short.  Ring gap is likely too large as well as cylinder slides over piston way too easily even with ring expander.  Resulting in 75 psi compression using small engine comp tester.  Even mo problems given piston does not fully open any ports out of the box.  I imagine Honda pa50 spacer will work given same stud pattern.  This is just an over-bored stock cylinder and I am over-bored with it as well.  So I got that going for me . . . .

5 of 5 works great. April 19, 2020

Use the stock carb with stock pilot jet. Put the 82.5 main jet in. The needle is stock at clip in the 3rd slot. Put the 2 stage reeds in. Drill some holes in your stock air breather cover. stock exhaust bolts right up. Fires right up and runs great. Have not drove it yet. It started snowing.

5 of 5 Little ripper November 17, 2018
taco eater : Thom from Seattle, WA United States
Paired this up with the standard malossi red clutch springs, dual stage power reeds, MLM side bleed, and up jetted to 82.5. the power rips start at 12 mph and take this baby to over 35+ fast.
CHAMFER YOUR PORTS AND POLISH! I shredded my rings and thought the kit was toast. Chamfered, polished, new rings, and blam-o. Ripping harder than my farts after taco tuesday.
